Echo Farm Tour & Lunch

Join Santiva Islanders for a tour of Echo Global Farm - not your typical farm.  You’ll experience farming at its most creative, with unique demonstrations of plants, and techniques being used to help farmers and urban gardeners in developing countries.

There are seven different settings on the 57 acre farm, with crops, techniques, and animals from around the world. ECHO  https://echonet.org/ is home to one of the largest collections of tropical food plants in the U.S. Plus, the Urban Garden is a tour standout, with some unconventional, but effective ways to grow crops where there’s little to no soil.

Echo Farm is located in North Fort Myers.  Carpooling will be available at the Community House Parking lot on Periwinkle, leaving at 8:00 amTour starts at 9:30 am and lasts 1 ½ hours to 2 hours. Following the tour, we will stop for lunch at The Boathouse, Ft. Myers on the Caloosahatchee River.

Cost is $12.00, $10.00 for adults 65 and older, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
