Please join Mahnaz Bassir on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Gathering Place from 10:30—11:30 for cardio & strength. Mahnaz has long been a favorite exercise instructor on Sanibel. Come find out why. You’ll meet friends and have fun all while getting and staying fit.

The class starts off with light to moderate aerobics, followed by strength and balance exercises, concluding with stretching. Please bring plenty of water and a towel. Participants may also want to bring light weights to use during the strength portion. Exercises are done standing so there is no need for a mat.

The cost for Santiva Islander members is $5 per class/$40 per calendar month. The cost for nonmembers is $10 per class/$80 per calendar month.

A 2023 annual Santiva Islander membership is $20. You can join online or at the door. Become a Member

The Gathering Place is located at 2304 Periwinkle Way. It sits behind the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (it’s the Noah’s Ark building). The Periwinkle entrance is for construction crews only. So please enter the property from Dunlop —the driveway is across from the Big Arts building. There is plenty of parking behind the Gathering Place. Handicap parking is just on front of the building.
