On the evening of September 9, explore the coast in a different light...moonlight! Paddle the calmer cooler evening water of the San Carlos Bay just off Sanibel under a full moon. During this casual excursion we may get a glimpse of the effects of bioluminescence as we glide through the open water. Seize the night and embrace the ambience and sound of nature on this unique nightlife opportunity.

Kayaks, life jackets, and paddles are provided. You won't need your sunscreen for this one but depending on the direction of the breeze some bug spray could be a plus. As always, be sure to wear clothing and shoes that can get wet. Bring a towel, plenty of water and a sense of adventure.

Kayakers must preregister and pay in person at the Sanibel Recreation Center by Wednesday, September 7th, 2022. Kayak space is limited. Cost is $5 for Island Senior Program members and $20 for non-members. Basic kayak skill level is required.
